Solemn Kissing of the Hope of Triana

After four years, Our Lady of Hope is exposed in devout kissing in her Mariners' Chapel.

Dawn rises in the presbytery of the chapel on its kissing pedestal, where he already awaits the visit and prayers of his brothers and faithful devotees.

For the occasion, Esperanza wears the silver tissue skirt and the overcoat., both pieces embroidered by the Martín Cruz sisters in 1968 Y 1965, respectively.

The mantle he wears is known as that of "the dragons.", embroidered by Esperanza Elena Caro in 1948.

The set is completed by an English lace rostrillo on silver fabric and its characteristic breastplate known as "the scrubber.".

Finally, on his temples, wears the gold crown carved in Orfebrería Triana with which the Virgin was canonically crowned in 1984, and shows off the brilliant dagger brand new in 2022 made with various pieces from our beloved Lady's jewelry box.

The Blessed Virgin presides over an ephemeral cult apparatus that simulates, on this occasion, a throne room, in allusion to the origin of the act of hand-kissing itself, as a royal ceremony.

As background, an extensive red velvet curtain is preceded by a carved and gilded wooden frame, work of Antonio Sánchez, that frames the silhouette of our beloved owner, like a canopy. Inside, as background, The portentous embroidered canopy ceiling has been arranged in the Hijos de Olmo workshop, in 1918. All this is crowned by a manifestor of the great solemnities, property of the Brotherhood of La Palma de Cádiz, work from the end of the 18th century.

In front of the aforementioned group the throne has been placed, as an allusion to the fact that Mary Most Holy, Our Hope, She is Queen of heaven and earth by divine design.

In the rest of the ephemeral assembly, the use of ten-armed sterling silver candelabra stands out., designed by Eduardo Crespo and made by the Orfebrería Triana workshop.
